This is amazing but missing alt text, so I'll do a thread with detailed alt text for each of the three pictures.
At Whipple where expired dicks are being thrown at ICE vehicles and those believed to be agitators. The area has been a place of protest since thousands of federal agents arrived in the city.

Just periodically remembering the lecture I chose to give to my mother about her racist ignorance after she relayed her 'funny' "I just call him Curious George and Biden the 'man in the yellow hat'" commentary multiple times.

It's kind of wild to see the lived experience of "Don't tell on the bully, it just makes things worse" is somehow still relevant.

I am accepting this challenge and raising $1200 for one Minneapolis family to cover their overdue rent today. Venmo me at nkkritzer and I will send the money to that family once it's raised. I believe in us.

I really appreciate getting a phone call from my supervisor and her absolutely registering my answer to "how's it going?" being "ok" is 100% false.

Some of this could be due to the general state of the world, but even work itself is bullshit and caring about any of it feels a bit futile.

OUT-OF-TOWNERS:

In approximately 45 minutes you'll hear sirens. Please don't panic; this is so very culturally normal, we make jokes about it.

Our rights exist in a use-it-or-lose-it moment.

If we sit down and shut up because we're afraid of what might happen, it is DEFINITELY going to happen.

The marketing department for my employer decided to jump on the Nihilist Penguin memewagon and I'm really at a loss as to how/why/who thought it was a good idea.

In a moment of surprise to me, one of the two yarn shops in our town has posted about the Melt the Ice hat.

I'm disappointed it's not the one we usually frequent, but I'm fully prepared to reward them for sticking their necks out considering we live in a rather red part of the state.

Lived my Kill Bill fantasy tonight at D&D.

I've held off on using my Quivering Palm Monk ability for a bit now, and my DM made it TOO tempting not to try it.

That 5 Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique is pretty sweet.

I just love when I have to re-learn muscle memory, because Microsoft decided to adjust things again. Sometimes, it feels like that "moving an image in a Word document" meme extends through their entire office suite.

Would that I could quit it, but that's not how my job works.

The pattern was designed by a Minneapolis yarn store. All sales are going to local immigrant aid organizations. They've raised over $125,000 (!!!) since the knitting pattern was posted a few days ago.

"I can teach you to bind hair into a net to catch heat," the wizard said, "using arcane counting and a pair of fine wands."

After a while, the man said "Isn't this knitting?"

"This, too, it's magic."

I think enough stuff managed to trickle past my wall of mutes so I finally understand what everyone was talking about this morning.

🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
My nuclear mute features on this site are clearly protecting me from some bit of information this morning, and my terminal case of FOMO is making me far too curious about whatever the fuck someone has said/done/condoned/endorsed in the last 12 hours.

I'm sure I'll figure it out at some point...
