On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer

I remember when I didn't have to worry about the collapse of US gov, people getting disappeared off the street in broad daylight, all the genocides, the zionism, the nazism, etc. I mean it was out there but not SO CLOSE to everyone around me. Now I want to opine about TV but like... *gestures*

The astonishingly charming #NobodyWantsThis has dropped its 2nd season on Netflix. I tried going right in to S2 Ep1 and immediately felt lost, so I'm rewatching the first season.

Not even lukewarm take: this series has a hot-as-shit LA soundtrack. Obviously cold take: KB and Adam Brody are HOT.

Sometimes when I'm rewatching MASH, I'll find myself crying at some things those sweet characters do to help other people. It's often hard to describe why I'm crying if it's not from sadness but here I think I am INDEED sad that there aren't more real people like these fictional doctors.

Kenny G music has been used in SO MANY parodies that now when I see a commercial on youtube for his actual concerts coming to nearby venues, it always feels like a practical joke.

I would feel bad for him if he didn't get rich off of everyone in the world using his music.

The situation is totally different but it's something I want to think about for a couple reasons: those combatants in that tv show were already beaten and battered, physically and spiritually, that early in the war. and the news, even if it sounded good, was just wrong. Anyway. Free Palestine.

Season 1, Episode 23 of M.A.S.H. was titled "Ceasefire".
With nothing but the best intentions, a general tells the MASH crew that a ceasefire is happening in the Korean military action. Everyone there, despite it not being official, starts celebrating. MASH ran for 11 total seasons. No ceasefire.

The problem of #GoodFortune , the mediocre urban-fantasy-comedy film w/ Keanu Reeves & Aziz Ansari (I thought he was canceled?) is that from the premise you can easily predict every plot point. Rich people have it easy? A wealthy guy doesn't want to give it up? LA is costly? Come on. 6/10 bc Keanu

I used to think I had a time management problem but I just journaled a typical work day:

wake up
get ready for work for 3 hrs
work for 9 hrs
scroll the horrors for 7hrs
sleep for 5 hrs

Where the heck am I supposed to fit in "doing things" and "taking care of myself"??? UNPOSSIBLE
