Local family already having trouble making ends meet; husband was horribly injured on the job and wife is now full-time caregiver while they await a surgery date.

Honestly it just felt good to hear meat-eaters admit that turkey is disgusting this year. I'd love it if tradition moved away from that and even if you do meat, just do Cornish game hens, or ethnic foods, or a variety of foods that don't overfocus on any one thing for a bullshit holiday anyway
