Max is still fighting. He's in pain, but either we're managing it OK, or he's masking it well. Some of his recent degradation appears to be a possible respiratory infection, so he's gotten antibiotics. I don't expect miracles, but I do hope for him being able to enjoy another week or two.

Max is fighting so hard. He crawled up onto my shoulder today, despite constantly trying to rub the side of his face and shaking his head. But his eating is down to less than half his usual, and he has trouble keeping the food in his mouth to swallow it. May have to start syringe feeding him soon.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

With all that's going on, neglected to share that we have a new family member. Meet Sylvie! Long story short: Minnie's Mom picked her up for Mother's Day, but it didn't work out, so she was supposed to go back to the rescue, but she charmed the heck out of us, so we took her instead. 💖
