It may sound unreasonable to YOU when we react angerly or cry, but that is our REAL natural response when our misophonia is triggered.
The best thing we can possibly do is drown out the sound with other sounds, or leave the area where we hear it, and that’s still not gonna 100% stop our trigger.

But again, I DO agree to not treat others like shit about it. You cannot negatively react TOWARDS the person. But if it’s someone you live with or spend time with in general, you can least have a healthy conversation about it so they can be more understanding and help avoid triggering you.
