Leave it to Nekima to run and do a high profile protest action that seems out of step with all other organizing efforts… sigh … but for sure this is repression and it must be opposed

They'll be back in November.
Deporting children with cancer.
Using a 5-year-old as bait.
Shooting moms.

ICE is beyond reform. And today the House is voting to bankroll more terror. Hell no.

Any debate over the details of a "deal" are fully beside the point. If Dems (as a whole) are worth a damn they should be seeking any route to bring the government to a standstill. Any "guardrail" or "reform" will not be respected by anyone in charge from the Admin down to the local ICE Gruppenführer
Minibus is out. Democrats were able to include some guardrails in about ICE:
-restricts ICE to spending $3.8 billion of its annual budget
on detention as opposed to being able to spend $10 billion
-$20 million that must be used for body cameras 1/

Dara does an awesome and heart wrenching job of chronicling what its like to parent a teenager in Minneapolis right now during the ICE siege.
This is the story of trying to be a good and moral mom in the city of Minneapolis... just like Renee Good and Melissa Hortman, and how you do it full of uncertainty, in between loads of laundry and grocery runs and kids generally thinking you’re reckless or a coward;

See it didn't matter when it was #Minneapolis & #StPaul, but now its the SUBURBS and is impacting the COPS! So NOW it is important you see. Imagine you were a US Senator & could actually DO SOMETHING about it!!! Just stop Amy, you words are worthless here.
Today I talked with police chiefs from across the metro area. This isn’t just happening in Mpls and St. Paul. The 3000 ICE agents are in the suburbs and across our state. The surge is disrupting the work of local law enforcement.

This week, the House votes on DHS funding.

I will not vote to give ICE a single cent.

No more blank checks for a rogue agency that operates above the law, escalates violence, and erodes our most basic freedoms.

So what are the chances this new standing army of ICE goons will be deployed to disrupt the next election in blue cities in purple states, e.g. Milwaukee and Madison?

Hennepin County Attorney is going to need to file several more indictments.
So she had a pulse. That’s what the doctor on the scene wanted to check. She wasn’t breathing, but she had a pulse. He could have started CPR right away.

Instead ICE barred the doctor from attending her and waited 15 mins for EMT to get to her.

The implication of Dems focusing on affordability without addressing fascism is that there is an acceptable level of fascism if things are affordable.

I'm beginning to suspect that Klobuchar is having second thoughts about the governor's race. She doesn't want to lose her laser-like focus on affordability.

This does not seem likely to me.
The evidence is increasingly pointing to the probability that an ICE agent killed a woman after misreading her as a threat because he was distracted by his simultaneous effort to record her so he could upload her image to a facial recognition database.
We've analysed this video of the shooting of Renee Nicole Good yesterday in Minneapolis frame-by-frame to highlight the positioning of the gun and phone in the ICE agent's hands.
