Filmmaker Joffrey Maluski documents 25 days of bikepacking 1,500-kilometers through the sublime Arctic winterscape of Norway–Finland–Sweden, in the solitude of minus 27 degree polar nights. It's festive 🎄 existentialism, on a bike. It's spellbinding.

This one is a thing of beauty, and is now kind of too nice to leave anywhere...
#SingleSpeed #fixed #Ratbike #Beater . Really enjoyed watching this #BikeBuild from #DownhillSmoothTarmacCycling in the UK. an old sixties frame revitalised #Restomod out of the streets again and out of the shed. tatty enough to leave outside the shops (except where I live) 😆🚲❤️ . Fun.
I built this Single Speed Rat Bike from a Vintage Frame

Hoping to find a copy of Wende Cragg's long-awaited book Camera Corner somewhere in the UK. It's packed full of her amazing photos documenting the beginnings of mountain biking. Hopefully a copy of Charlie Kelly's Fat Tyre Flyer too.
The Marin gang of mountain bike pioneers goes to Colorado to meet the Crested Butte gang.

Heading up Paradise Divide out of Crested Butte, Colorado, September 1979. L to R: Joe Breeze, Charlie Kelly, Gary Fisher, James Macway. Wende Cragg's Breezer is over to the right.

❤️ it. Took me back to art college days, exploring with a Pentax K1000. I'd develop film at college by evening, print a contact sheet, mark it up with a red chinagraph, then select frames to print from. It was a very mindful, zen-like process, unlike the mindlessness of today's technology. I miss it.
Mindfulness in photography, cycling, prayer life, work, play, relationships... mindfulness in love. This brilliant little video is an encouragement to be more intentional... and that extends to many things.

Yes, a large happy yellow duck can mean only one thing – it's cyclocross season in Holland and Belgium. For 2nd day in a row, LLLLucindaaa Bbbbrrrand (Vlaanderen accent) has won.

I wrote to TfL asking them to remove unauthorised flags in Merton that have caused fear in my community. TfL has committed to removing them - but I've now discovered contractors taking them down are being threatened. This tells you everything: this was NEVER about patriotism.

This is deeply disappointing from Starmer.

The UK *helped design* this 'TFFF' fund, designed to stop deforestation, and supposedly 'continues to back the fund' (in theory). But now isn't putting any money into it 🤯

How embarrassing for the UK.

Two houses on the same street, both with drives.

Yet just one of them reduces flood risk, retards heatwaves, and lights up the neighbourhood with welcoming greenery.

We’ve lost millions of front gardens to overpaving in recent decades. We need to reverse that trend urgently.

ppl saying 'brianna was not killed by her phone'.

important to understand that @paulabarkermp.bsky.social and the rest of labour believe that being trans is a communicable disease that ppl catch from social media

it's the same thinking that led to the original section 28: being queer is a virus

If reports are accurate, Esther Ghey's acctivism propably doesn't speak for trans people, if not being low-key transphobic. I think people should keep that in mind if they want to support this campaign on those grounds.

My workplace arranged a large teams call with Esther during pride month and it ended up being entirely about mental health and phone access for kids. It was infuriating how much Brianna's past felt like it was being rewritten and how impossible it was to confront her mother about what she was doing.
