Also, I ride Oury Grips or DMR Sect grips which aren't slippy in the wet.

Not used studded/spiked yet. Have run aggressive knobbies at squidgy pressures.
Use a firmer low profile saddle with less padding so it won't become sodden.

Yeah. The pedal slip injury happened like a decade ago. However, the skin on that shin took months and **lots** of antibiotics to stabilise. Since then it's been susceptible to reinfections whenever I catch it on anything. But it's far from being the worst bike-related injury I've experienced.

With the DMRs, I can hop on/off easily – something I appreciated during my courier days.

I'm quite respectful of pedals now. I got Cellulitis in one shin after cheesegrating slipping in the rain.

My set in stone pedals are silver DMR V8s/12s. I've shredded too many shins on MKS or trap-style pedals. I seem to have hoarded bars, stems and derailleurs, so have a few to swap about as the mood takes me. My fave bars the last few years are On-One Fleegles.

Nice! I watch **a lot** of these refurbishing videos. I find the zen-like quality of the process involved is deeply therapeutic.

I'm tired of hearing about the film - you can set your calendar to this incessant nonsense about it being a Christmas movie - when films 1 & 2 were both released in the months of July.
