When I got the contract to write a history of concentration camps in 2014, I hoped to keep the US from ending up here. That didn't work out! But now it's critical to understand how much is already in process and the enormity of what's coming. The sooner we act to stop it, the more people we'll save.

This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.

There is no reasonable position that doesn't involve abolishing ICE. If you believe that it still has a role to play in a functioning society, however small or reformed, I have to assume a moral failing on your part.

I think we are seeing that the government does believe it has the right to murder US citizens as it sees fit.
If they didn’t, it’d be pretty simple to sacrifice this one agent and go back to kidnapping.
