one of these days i will get up the whimsy to actually join one of those discords that randos promote on tiktok for their indie animation projects and see about auditioning to voice act for a small project. i have never voice acted before in my life but it'd be a neat skill/hobby to try

plus i have this weird disease on top of that where i like to hear it backward because i like to pick apart the phonemes backward and get an idea of how the actual lyrics could be said backward. do i need to up my dosage of my meds

i have this disease where i work on a song and i'm like "uhh idk this kinda sounds like garbage" then to make myself feel better i'll play it backwards just to see and then it actually sounds complex and interesting and i'm like "wow" is that a thing anyone else gets or am i just insane

i needed a quick win, i.e. getting a project finished and put on steam -- ideally i'll take the learnings from this project and get back into the tedium and you, which is much more of an actual thing than this little experiment was

friendly neighborhood #indiegamedev here to say: never make weird games. writing up marketing materials and steam store page descriptions is needlessly difficult. i'm only making normal, marketable games with easy-to-describe gameplay and features from now on. i'll never make a weird game again (/j)
a piece of my game's (draft) steam store page description reading: "only one level, only one objective, only one ending. the game exclusively revolves around helping him. there is nothing else. there's a reason the game's free."

it's hard to get good screenshots (and make a decent trailer) for my weird #indiegamedev project, "FOR GOD'S SAKE, HELP HIM!", but I managed to capture one good image encapsulating the whole game here
in a foggy white void, a small house hovers slightly off-kilter over a figure of a praying man laying supine on the floor, casting a large squarish shadow over him. one might assume that the house is about to fall and crush him, but i actually grabbed this screenshot as it was on its way back upward into the void (after having crushed him).
