I will defend NYC as a college football town to the very end, though it is a different kind of college football town than Atlanta or Houston or Detroit. I’ve been at bars here with groups of Southern Miss and App State and Marshall and UMass fans present!
I think this is a much closer call than you do. LA has two legacy CFB programs but very little day-to-day caring about CFB. New York has a ton of it, probably because it's a finance capital and those ppl have a lot of CFB obsessives in their ranks
