It baffles me that plays- words intended for performance- are taught as solely literary texts.
As soon as you get them up on their feet, you feel what it is-you understand the sounds, the meter, the shape of it all.

This is a terrific idea - may it flourish like a Shakespearean fanfare.
(I first trained as a drama teacher and am horrified at how successive U.K. governments have strangled our schools’ arts curriculum.)

If your game has voice acting, then working with the voice actors is half of your writing process. It's not complete until you've heard it interpreted and reimagined by a voice actor. And they always reimagine it in ways that elevate the writing, in ways you never would have imagined yourself.

Was recently given a bike and the only place to put it is the thoroughfare between living room and kitchen and it's just a tiny bit too narrow and I keep walking into it. So, if my house was thinking about taking on any #HouseofLeaves traits, now would be a good time.
