Breaking: #ALP more interested in political 'fix' than effective legislation to protect the environment.
#Auspol #ClimateCrisis #WattFix?
"Ley said the fact that Watt was simultaneously negotiating with the Coalition & the Greens showed that his main motivation was a “political fix”.

“Right now, we have an environment minister with two sets of amendments, one in each hand. They’re radically different, these amendments”

It's true👇

116 legal and policy experts have now opposed Labor’s new powers for police to recommend cutting payments from people without them even having been convicted of a crime.

Cops shouldn’t be anywhere near welfare law and Labor should withdraw this amendment. www.theaustralian.com.au/nation/treat...

I’ll be honest, I’m not finding this constant stream of “we have unfortunately misled you” by the NACC very reassuring

A previous disclosure that the head of the federal corruption watchdog had been consulted 11 times has been corrected to 21.

The #ALP rightly spoke up for the #CSIRO funding cuts under the COALition however it is now too busy funding nuclear subs to care.

Tell the #ALP to restore funding to our chief #Science agency. Here's a petition put up by #CPSU. Please consider signing

The same story globally in early 2025.

But: Australia still exports more fossil fuel emissions than we produce at home — and we don’t count them.
