I don't think I have a lot of followers on this thing, but today might be a good day to donate to trans causes/individuals. If you feel like you can, do it publicly, with your name attached. This may put you on a list. I would rather be on one of their lists than silent today.
Also, very soon it will be nearly impossible to differentiate between AI output and human output with any degree of certainty, and the sheer amount of output AI can generate will vastly exceed what humans actually say and create.
That seems like a strategic overreach to me. It would be smarter to focus criminalization on the "furthest left" groups and candidates (eg, those least popular among the donor class), and turn the DNC into a "loyal opposition" centrist permanent minority party.
As a fully authentic online leftist, I promise you there can be no peace with anyone who voted for Harris or Biden! Imaginary socialist unicorn 2028 or bust!
3. They're always doing it "ironically" to "troll the libs". 4. It's always the "youthful indiscretion" of fully-grown adults. 5. It's always contained to the specific group of named individuals, and never reflects on anyone associated with them or their movement.
It won't work on people like Hegseth, but it does work on "Normie" Republican voters. "No grandpa, you won't be seeing the kids on Thanksgiving because I don't want my children exposed to your disgusting fascist bigotry."
The effect isn't positive, it is backstop against destructive behavior for those unwilling to be decent human beings by choice. Today's Republicans should be reminded that their grandchildren will learn about them in school, right after they learn about the Confederates, the Klan, and the Nazis.
Those Republicans understood that they needed the bigot vote to win, but didn't want the most vicious bigots in charge of the party. Now the vicious bigots are in charge (again). Going to get worse before it gets better.
I think it's more of a slow and cyclical descent into fascism than a simple story of "Republicans used to be good people" or "Republicans were always this way". Goldwater wanted to reject the bigots and "christian" nutjobs. Nixon and Reagan realized that they needed those votes to win.
Every few years a more radical wing of the right kicks out the old boring "mainstream" Republicans by declaring them RINOs. Shapiro has reached RINO status.
Jack Posobiec references the earliest version of antifa -- the anti-fascists in the Weimar Republic who were opposed to the Nazi Party -- as the bad guys.
That's a big part of the point, isn't it? Make it so the regular mechanisms of government don't/can't work, so the only alternative is a Strong Leader who will Get Things Done for The People. No, not Those People.
