i think my hot take is "kids shouldn't swear" is primarily just an outgrowth of "kids should be deferential to adults by default", which i don't actually see as a moral imperative - or even noble/laudable at all, and therefore not something we should be pressuring industry to enforce.

i think my hot take is "kids shouldn't swear" is primarily just an outgrowth of "kids should be deferential to adults by default", which i don't actually see as a moral imperative - or even noble/laudable at all, and therefore not something we should be pressuring industry to enforce.
The worse the outside world gets, the more I should listen to Fugazi. This morning's selection is their excellent album "In On The Kill Taker", released in 1993. Seriously, what a great fucking band.
