it also has an encyclopedia that tells you the detailed backstory of every single map boss you kill. You'll check it and it'll tell you you just killed the brother of the guy you killed on the 3rd map of the game and he referenced it in the pre battle dialogue

I was purposefully playing poorly/without care by the end just so I could spend money on health/ammo and actually pick up money from killed enemies rather then leave it wasted on the ground bc I'd hit the cap. There are 4 digits on the UI for your wallet but you can only carry 500 bux...

It's also a shame the balance falls apart at the same time. It's not so much I dislike the victory lap style but it feels like I was in victory lap mode by Hephaestus, and then the game kept going for like 3 more hours of mindless wrench whacking.

Bioshock is a really severe example of a game totally fumbling the ball at the end. If it wasn't for the absolute melodramatic schmaltz of the last 5 minutes (and general tedium and lack of focus in the stage before it) I'd be so much hotter on it.

Thinking about Difficulty more because I was popping off about it on stream tonight, but I keep going back and thinking to how people give like.. intro reading/watching/listening lists for subjects that are dense and hard to get into, so people can build literacy in various mediums and genres.
