Made the mistake of trying to take Metra to MSI without realizing the Electric is suspended, but discovered there's a random busway under the Bean?

ORLANDO! Care about building transit, affordable housing, reducing traffic, and protecting the environment? Then listen up. We have an election coming up in City Council District 3 and I've endorsed Mira Tanna. Vote on or before December 9th.

Taking a walk to browse a little free library under lavish fall foliage on the last nite before the first fall of snow is a simple pleasure that the sinners in the South will never understand 🍁

This is apparently something called a “Kiss and Ride” drop off. A maze for cars next to a train station. I have never heard of this term, because this is my first time taking a train ever

ICE just rammed a vehicle at Oakton and Asbury in Evanston. They left the damaged car in the middle of the street and appear to have taken the driver. This is less than a block away from Oakton Elementary

So not only does the massive transit package passed last night fill the funding gap, it *boosts* ops funding by roughly the size of the gap, eliminates parking minimums within a half mile of rail stations, and gives the new regional transit board sweeping powers to do public development

I really wish people would stop trying to let state and local governments in Florida – my birthplace – off the hook for their failure to invest in basic infrastructure upgrades over my lifetime.
As a frequent South Florida visitor, I’ll say it only takes about three seconds of looking at the way they do grade crossings to figure this out

People love to yell at public transit operators for high costs and point to Brightline as the solution, when the way that Brightline achieved those lower costs is pretty evident — and costly in its own right.

Does anyone know of a list or GIS layer of which MTA NYC bus routes are operated by MTA Bus Company? Cannot find an easy answer online

Utah Valley University is right next to a commuter rail station, conservatives will probably use this as an excuse to ban trains instead of banning guns
