Got buried in the news this weekend, but President Jesus said the F word on CNN at like 2pm in the afternoon. The next day he posted a poop-filled scat video, but tell Me more about the dignity of the office of the presidency.

Millions of federal workers are locked out of their jobs or working without pay. Now, they’re making difficult choices:

Pay for rent, get gas for the car, or get groceries?

Fund the government.
Fix the health care crisis.
Put working people first.
They were living paycheck to paycheck. Then the checks stopped coming.
Dozens of federal workers told Business Insider they are living paycheck to paycheck and cutting their spending during the government shutdown.

the Democratic party has a massive problem with anti Palestinian racism and Islamophobia (which are intertwined.)
I think once Mamdani is formally the winner of this race people will be more willing to admit it, but the truth is that the real issue isn't the lack of endorsement from Schumer and Jeffries, it's that Schumers, Jeffries, and everyone else has made racially charged unfulfillable demands of Mamdani.
I do think however it is also simultaneously true that Mamdani has managed to acquire the support of the bulk of the Democratic establishment. This was done in spite of, though, the endemic Islamophobia and racial animosity towards nonwhite politicians sympathetic to Palestinians.

This. None of us actually expect that we’re going to see society wide masking anymore.

Masking in medical facilities should be the bare minimum.

A few more people choosing to mask up might save a life.

Every infection is a dice roll with disability and some of us are too sick to take the risk
When we say “everyone should mask” we don’t actually expect people will. We know how selfish people are. But we say it because:

1) it’s factually true

2) if even a few people listen to us that’s a few more lives saved and, as the Talmud says, every life is a universe.
