Insightful point here: Even if you take Trump seriously - he does not like the optics - they rested on an assumption that communities would welcome ICE as heroes, rather than showing the type of solidarity that Trump inherently cannot understand.
Trump is privately worried about the "optics" of ICE raids and his advisers are looking for ways to soften them, Axios reports. I'm calling bullshit: The terror and violence cannot be hived off from the broader policy agenda. They are 100% intrinsic to it.

BYD is now improving its battery warranty across Europe, just a few weeks after the Chinese manufacturer took the same step in Norway.
The warranty now covers eight years or 250,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.

The U.S. has reduced its military presence in Greenland massivly over the years. If the strategic security of the Island is the real concern for the U.S. it could immediately return the troops there in coordination with Greenland and the Europeans. Obviously this argument is just a pretext to annex.

Grüße gehen raus an diejenigen, die behauptet haben, wir sollten nicht so hysterisch sein (oder dass man das Grönland-Gerede nicht ernst nehmen müsste).
Donald Trump hat dem Premierminister von Norwegen geschrieben, dass er sich Grönland nehmen wird, weil er den Friedensnobelpreis nicht bekommen hat und sich jetzt dem Frieden nicht mehr so verpflichtet fühlt.
Dann ist ja beruhigend, dass dieser besonnene, erwachsene Mann 6.000 Atomsprengköpfe hat.
