Like, very obviously, many things have improved! My kids get accommodations in school that would have been unthinkable in the 90s! Gay marriage is, right now, legal! If you spend all day thinking about how much worse things are you're basically talking yourself into being a reactionary

I am lucky that my youngest (potty trained) is in "3K" daycare at about $1400/mo. And my oldest gets wrap care at school that's either included in the annual school cost or is a lowish one time cost for the school year.
~$3K/mo for 2 kids in full time (5 days/wk, 8+ hr/day) was prev. cost. 😵💫

"childcare can't possibly cost 32k" for two kids? Yeah it does. 1300 a month per kid is probably a better deal than you're going to be able to find. If you weren't aware of that, then it seems like the writer of the blog isn't the one divorced from reality

Sometimes, you need to be “All gas, no [expletive] brake” guy. But when your defense is dominating, you’re running the ball well, your own QB has a shoulder injury and you have a big game in 4 days, it’s OK to “take the air out of the ball” as the #Packers did:

Would probably double the recipe next time. Could have finished the pan tonight but saved a serving to see how it reheats tomorrow.
