The fact that not a single reporter tells Mike Johnson “let me read it for you” or “here it is” when he claims he hasn’t seen or doesn’t know a thing about the psychotic ramblings of the head of state is not only a dereliction of journalistic duty, but a display of pure cowardice.

Something I mentioned to @atrupar.com is how Johnson will say he's too "busy" to read *the president's* tweets or statements, while actual VP JD Vance will rage post in response to journalists and relatively minor liberal influencers. Either Johnson can't multitask or Vance doesn't have a real job.

How can this go on for years and years and years while everyone else is held to mostly the same rules as before? Why is it that Trump and his supporters have been given a free pass to engage in the foulest behavior imaginable, whether illegality, tyranny, corruption, or simply demeaning the dead?

Here's Trump saying Rob Reiner is dead because he made people mad with his "Trump Derangement Syndrome."
Absolutely insane.
It's a real post by the president of the United States, who has the nuclear codes.

The movie ends, Rob stands up, and Frank braces himself for the double-barreled shotgun blast. Rob walks up, tears all over his face, and says, quietly, "It's the best film Castle Rock has ever released. Good work." And then he left.

Class. Fucking. Act.

Rob Reiner was a capital-M Mensch. #RIP

Genuinely think our society is lost if we can’t find a way to start caring that the ostensibly most powerful man in the world acts like this.

Archie Bunker, also a reactionary bigot from Queens, would have displayed 1000 times more grace and compassion than his spiritual descendant who currently occupies the White House.

One of my all-time favorite clips of Rob Reiner, from his Friars Club Roast in 2000, as he reads aloud Roger Ebert's infamous scathing review of his movie North. The man had an amazing sense of humor about himself. RIP.

When we started studying online rumoring during crises (~2013), we mostly focused on this type of rumor: accidental, but w/ potential for great harm. Except we anticipated origins in "unofficial" sources. The idea that rumors like these would be seeded by a sitting President never crossed our minds.

I know multiple women who genuinely, truly believe that their children are more likely to die from a HPV vaccination side effect than they are from the cancers that HPV causes. I have no idea how you even begin to undo that level of mass psychosis in society.
I will never forgive RFK Jr. for what he’s done… never.

The layers of hell he has unleashed in many different areas — not just healthcare — over the past two decades have caused so much damage, it’s overwhelming.

He is one of the greatest villains of the 21st century.

It is intensely funny to me that tech bro CEOs on an annual salary of 15 petabillion dollars think data centres can go in space because it's very cold but actually they would get obscenely hot because heat won't radiate into the vacuum of space

ICE are thug scum.
ICE detain U.S. citizen for looking Somali—use illegal chokehold to tackle him to ground.

Man repeatedly begs agents to look at his digital passport ID—they refuse.

Drove him 7 miles away before releasing him alone into Minnesota snow storm—told him to "walk home" in freezing weather advisory.

I’m but a simple country theoretical physicist, and I can say, in my professional capacity, “datacenters in space” is so colossally, monumentally stupid that it is difficult to know where to start with which laws of physics the idea is spitting in the face of the most.
“.. Skeptics believe the technical risks are being underestimated and say space-based data centers won’t be competitive on cost, especially if power and other constraints ease on the ground.”

It is driving me crazy that I’m not seeing widespread coverage of these statements by the President.

This is a big deal!

If a news organization isn’t putting this in front of their readers/viewers, they are failing at their job to inform the public.

In spirit, content and intent, this was really no different to a Klan rally.

The exception being the wholesale absence of outrage in mainstream media.

This period of history will be an indictment on those standing silent, as much as the monster himself.

There's no evidence Trump has ever driven a damn car.

He has never mowed a lawn.

He has never shoveled a walk.

He has never changed a lightbulb.

He has never washed dishes.

He has said he never ever changed a diaper and he has four children.
something you have to understand about Trump & his weird comments about the economy is that the dude hasn't paid for anything like a normal person in decades - never pumps gas, never buys groceries - so he's completely & utterly out of touch with what life is like for most of us
