Yesterday, our Subaru would not start. It needed a new battery. We had been warned about this when it last went in for service.

Went down the street to the local O'Really Automotive and got a new battery. Had it installed in under an hour.

Got my Man card punched for another 3 months.

Julio met a very big Staffy at the dog park this weekend. He was short, but very robust. And friendly.

If ICE agents believe they have blanket immunity or that citizens have no right to record them, it’s up to the rest of us to disabuse them of that error.

A free society depends on public oversight of government force, and on courts that uphold that freedom. @walterolson.bsky.social

We know that sending the world's largest aircraft carrier, B-1 and B-52 bombers, and F-35 stealth fighters to topple one South American leader we don't like is somehow crazy. It also means that those Epstein files must be really something. - Roger Gray www.texasoutlawwriters.com/what-is-truth/

Been thinking about this a lot lately.

I am the radical left.

As in, I am the radical that has been left by Americas constant march to the right since the 1970s.

Reagan lied. Government is NOT the problem.

Bad / incompetant / self-serving government is the problem.

In mid-September we spent a week in Canada visiting with family. This picture is one of the docks at Birchland Cottages, a small resort run by my brother, near Iron Bridge, Ontario. It’s a beautiful spot, with dock for each cottage.

On the other, they become whiny crybabies at the thought of setting foot in DC streets and New York City subways that literal schoolchildren navigate every day without incident.

Real macho stuff.
