UPDATE: This plane landed in Cairo and is now headed back to Shannon.
Previous ICE flights to Cairo delivered Russian dissidents and asylum-seekers to Egyptian authorities, who forced them onto planes to Moscow. At least one is now missing.

What the EU wants is the old relationship back where it is the subordinate partner to US imperialism. It is not actually looking to challenge the US or fully break away. They’re more afraid of the other than of the US.
