I use em dashes, ellipses, and colons liberally. I write fragmented sentences. I drop one line paragraphs. Because writing is music. It should have cadence. And when it's good, you don’t just read it...you hear it.

This has been on my mind lately. If someone took my phone away from me and I needed to call a family member, would I know their number (much less remember it under stress)? For those who practice democracy, it's a question to consider and maybe a list to keep printed on a card in their wallet.

My town’s indie theater doing its thing tonight. Also: “One Battle After Another” was fantastic.

A great way to turn the temp down here as @jay.bsky.team @pfrazee.com and @aaron.bsky.team want would be to stop communicating site policies and practices with individual users or on their timelines and hire a comms person who is a professional communicator to do all the front facing interaction.
