Headed out into the field. Josh printed out 3D maps of the region for reference. ⚒️

My boss can't work powerpoint so I do all his presentations for him. It really annoys me that he never gives me credit. On 1 slide in a recent deck, I managed to get the first letter of every sentence to spell out his name followed by 'CUNT'. He didn't notice & sent it out

Was about to point to this as evidence of Wes Streeting's failure - but then realized his private healthcare investors would regard it as evidence of his success.

Another $20 billion. That is the face you make when you heist the US taxpayers for $40 billion two weeks before your midterm elections from the most corrupt America Last regime in history.

Yet another lie about immigration from the Telegraph.

Yet another correction.

I explained why the Centre for Policy Studies numbers were nonsense 6 months ago, and the CPS has admitted I was right. Didn't stop the Telegraph from printing the lie.

An article “Farage pledges to expel hundreds of thousands of migrants” /”We will stop this scam on the British people” (Sept, 21) stated the cost of 800,000 “Boriswave” migrants gaining ILR will be at least £234 billion during their lifetimes. This figure was from a third party organisation which has confirmed it is disputed and will be updated. We are happy to correct the record.

At last a local council in the UK is leading where national government is not

Taxing vehicles on weight - and thereby size - is at least some counterweight against vehicle bloat, and the damage that bigger, heavier vehicles inflict on road, pedestrian and cycle space

Populists live on simple answers and cheap applause. When those no longer work and they are confronted by unpopularity, they have nothing.
👏 "We've lived here all our lives. And I have never felt so unwelcome in my own hometown as I do since your party came into Caerphilly."

"With all the rhetoric that you bring in, I have to say to my sons, please don't go there. Please don't do this."

"I blame you for that."

"Epstein... walked around his desk, picked up a grainy photograph, and handed it to me. The image had been taken from some distance, but it was unmistakably my little brother. I felt a stab of fear.

“We know where your brother goes to school,” Epstein said."

This man was a monster. I feel sick.

Libraries in Reform UK run Staffordshire are being forced to close.

They are refusing to hire much needed staff and refusing over time or paying for staff to be covered. This is resulting in libraries closing because of too few staff, despite there being available staff to cover.

I find @tomtugendhat.bsky.social's argument not just ludicrous, but dangerous. Due process is *absolutely* paramount in criminal law - not "whose side you are on".

We don't trample Separation of Powers just because you feel rightly angry and ashamed for being spied on *while Security Minister".

As a dual Argentinean and American citizen who deeply wants the situation in my birth country to improve, I am skeptical that giving Javier Milei $40 billion is really going to improve anything long term.

Offensive and patronizing, indeed. Describes much of the GOP nowadays, come to think of it.

, Blue Georgia, posted 9 hours ago, stating, "Mike Johnson is asked about the delay in swearing in Rep.-Elect Adelita Grijalva: 'Bless her heart. She's a representative elect. She doesn't know how it works around here.' Grijalva: 'How offensive and how patronizing. Yesterday, my race was certified, and so that's how things work. Your job is to swear me in.'" The post includes a video still from various news networks (Fox News, CNN) showing a split-screen of multiple news anchors discussing the topic, with headlines such as "DEM REP-ELECT RESPONDS TO HOUSE SPEAKER'S 'BLESS HER HEART' DIG" and "DEMOCRATS STORM SPEAKER JOHNSON'S OFFICE," along with a Blue Georgia alert icon.

I’m old enough to remember when we had a system of checks & balances that involved Congress, when Congress controlled the purse and legislated, and the president respected the Constitution & rule of law. I’m old enough to remember when a U.S. president wouldn’t want to be King George or a dictator.
