Bro was happy to do armed takeovers when, post Ruby Ridge/Waco, he could be reasonably sure the government cared enough about optics to avoid escalation/matching his energy.

But with ICE shooting ppl in the street w/impunity? Fancy that, there he sits in his compound with his thumb up his ass.
The Malheur Wildlife Sanctuary occupation really kicked off this whole stupid decade.

Also, Jesus Christ IT HAS BEEN
A DECADE.

i think one bad thing social media has done is condition us to read every possible post in the worst possible light for easy dunks. i certainly find myself falling for it but think it's helpful to at least try to recognize and avoid it by thinking "how would i interpret it if my friend posted this"

Amongst other things, this again highlights the core point about due process. It’s bad enough to be in a “show me your papers” situation, but your precious citizen/non-citizen, “legal”/“illegal” distinctions are meaningless when you can’t prove anything to authorities because they don’t give a shit.

You cannot do "commonsense reform" for a secret police force that's declared itself exempt from constitutional requirements. You cannot reform ultraviolent agencies that have been corrupt for decades and now have accountability only to the president's goons and lackeys.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

i think this is exactly right. fascism is the Death Drive as ideology. it's why the catastrophic end of the Nazi Party does not deter people from worshipping Nazis. that the Nazis destroyed Germany along with the rest of Europe is part of the appeal.

I understand it's hard for some to use the term concentration camp, even for those horrified by what's happening. And there are settings (e.g., court) where it may not be helpful today. The key thing to realize is that there's an arc of how detention regimes tend to go, and we're recognizably on it.

Masked up DEA agent knowingly participating in an illegal arrest of a journalist that was already rejected by two trial judges and an appellate court.

The de-Nazification after this period must be thorough. Seems likely we will need to fire the majority of federal law enforcement officers.
This is from Georgia Fort’s video.

DEA?!? Gotta be a “task force.”

After the Boston Massacre, the soldiers responsible were arrested and received fair trials. King George recalled the regiment to England, and then American leaders were like “good, that was enough, we’ll remain your loyal subjects forever…” wait, that’s not right…

if you're looking to learn about what are some of the lowest-hanging fruits in terms of local elections in places that directly help ICE, this is for you:
NEW: There are 2,400+ elections for DA & sheriff this year.

These matter hugely to criminal justice & policing—including: *these are often officials who decide ICE collaboration.*

So I took a dive into these 2,400+ races to identify early hotspots and battlegrounds.

Read, & check out our maps:

Saying there must be trials isn't just an emotive aspiration.

Congress can:
- Create a new court (complying w/ 6A jury vicinage)
- Give it jurisdiction over defined category of crimes
- Also create dedicated prosecutors for the same
- Strip SCOTUS of appellate jurisdiction

It can be done.
