Indeed, the Republicans were the first to point out that facts don't matter. It's how the public feels or what the public believes which makes all the difference. The press is marketing a narrative, too.

I hate this chart.

They aren't asking about facts, like "how much are prices up."

They're asking "do you agree that these prices are up"

Stop asking people if they agree about facts.

"do you agree that the sun came up this morning? 20% of those surveyed said no."

That's validating stupid.

Who among these critics of immigration is not descended from immigrants? Who among their American heroes are not? Who among those ancestors were not a product of cultural conflict or the search for something better and different? And who did not bring some of their traditions with them.

Your Black Friday reminder that in 75% of U.S. industries, a smaller number of companies now control more of the business than they did twenty years ago. We must stop the monopolization of America. Shop small if you can, please.

The truth is every vote does not count.

The most important votes are in swing states.

We need to make it a popular vote so every vote is truly equal.

Republicans will never allow this though because they'd never win another election.

Abolish the electoral college!!

Immigrants commit fewer crimes.

Immigrants pay taxes.

Immigrants contribute over $2 trillion to the U.S. economy.

The problem isn't immigrants.

Your education cannot be social media. If you're not reading, you're not learning. Podcasts can be educational when they have scholars, authors, etc who actually have expertise on a topic. Reading is essential. When Kendrick said "turn the TV off" it was more than a metaphor.

As I always do with boycotts, I urge: be tough with corporations, gentle with individual buyers. For some people, Black Friday sales are the way they get their kids jackets that fit, shoes that hold up to the weather. Yelling at them doesn’t help the cause.

Imagine showing a petrol engine to someone who had only known electric vehicles, and trying to convince them to switch to petrol. No-one would choose the dirty, noisy, less efficient, more expensive vehicle. This isn't 1910, hostage to gender insecurity. We can just choose the better tech.

I interviewed Aftyn Behn, who is running in a special election in TN7 — if you know anyone in the district, please remind them to vote for Aftyn.

She has a real shot to flip the congressional seat. @aftynbehn.bsky.social

Yeah, we’re familiar. See any stadium in the USA
It's an absolute dud. "The stadium benefits a subsection of the community, but the whole community pays for it." Both Thomas and Harriss need to say no for it to fall through. I am not feeling confident. #politas
Economic case for Hobart stadium just doesn't add up, experts say
An expert planning panel has defended their scathing assessment of Hobart's proposed Macquarie Point stadium while speaking to the politicians who will ultimately decide the project's fate.
