Cthulhu has nommed his way across the US and is approaching New York. All the law enforcement, quasi law enforcement, and militia groups are out and fighting each other.
Not my home, but I know my way around.
Flippin’ eck! That’s a horrid thing to see, and when you put so much work into it.
I hope this gets properly fixed for everyone’s sakes.

One of our bestselling graphic novels, ever.
Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow by @tomking.bsky.social @bilquis.bsky.social @matlopes.bsky.social is the perfect DC comic.

Blending cosmic adventure with poignant and lyrical introspection. This is a truly stunning graphic novel about what it truly means to carry hope.

It’s in that small category of films that everyone should (try to) watch once, but no more. One of the others for me is Schindler’s List.
I’m sure they could put up a couple of Nissen Huts on Gruinard Island for him.
Somewhere In England, a liquid nitrogen frozen box marked JAMES CHARLES BIGGLESWORTH is waiting.
Nice. Have another one in return.
Ah, the film where I learned that Michelle Pfeiffer exists, and the world is better for it.

This might be my favorite @midnightpals.bsky.social post ever simply because partway through and for no reason Lafcadio Hearn appears.
Sir Kenneth Branagh: submitted for the approval of the midnight society, i call this the tale of Sir Kenneth Branagh's Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
Branagh: it's the Frankenstein film most to the vision of its original creator
Branagh: me, sir Kenneth branagh
You mean the repairs estimated to cost about £15 billion and take about 20 years, with 50% added to both time and cost if the inhabitants refuse to move down the road to the Elizabeth Conference Centre?
Seconded on Petplan. Not the cheapest but they insure pets for life. For example, this elderly gentleman had to have insulin shots daily for about five years, and they never quibbled, not once.

I guess it saves us coming back and burning it again.
Wake up, babe, the least subtle visual metaphor in history just dropped

That one was a lot of fun. I particularly enjoyed dropping the alien spacecraft on Zürich's main rail station (in a fit of passive-aggressive protest about the new tiles they'd installed downstairs, which are slippery when wet. Which in the winter is almost all the time). ...Good times, good times.😏
And my first Chryssalid-induced panic attack! 🤭
I try to carry cash, and if what I want to buy is under say a fiver, I offer it while remarking how scandalous it is that the banking system takes a chunk out of every transaction, even the small ones. It’s then the shop’s call.

No, Adam, it does not. Someone who wishes for my nonexistence is a fucking bigot and a fascist even if they dress it up in nicer words than the current fucking bigots and fascists. I am not acceptable collateral damage and neither is anyone else. We all get out together or we don't get out at all.
Even as the months get darker, a solar/battery setup has its uses. Currently charging the battery up to 90% in the small hours on the cheap (ish) rate and it gets us through to late evening.

It’s going to be interesting to see what a full year with this setup does.
Not officially. The fan sites, though.
Dear me, #Crunchyroll subtitles are pretty awful nowadays.
For anyone wondering what the half-second flash of what was on the whiteboard in episode 3 of #TouringAfterTheApocalypse, here’s a screenshot.
Well worth reading all the way to the end. The “honourable mention” gag is one of the best in the article.
It’s great. He gets to show off what he can do other than be John McClane. The supporting cast aren’t bad either.
Who robbed the Louvre? Right answers only…

… and he did it to “La Mer” by Charles Trenet. Not “Beyond the Sea” by Bobby Darin. This is France: have some respect.
