I designed the narrative and scripted this DLC. We basically got to create our own version of Metalhead. It was a dream project for me.

Check out the 🔥 trailer (which I also helped script)!

I would love to never get spoon fed another video of two or more mediocre white guys talking into microphones at each other about why stuff other people made is good or not good but culture seems to be moving in the exact opposite direction.

If you rebooted RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK today with the same temporal margins, it’d be set in the 1980s. Neo-Nazi punks would have their faces melted by the opening of a forbidden arcade cabinet at the KB Toys at your local mall. Indiana Jones would wear a Hawaiian shirt and Chuck Taylor sneakers.
We are now further away from the theatrical release of Raiders of the Lost Ark (June 12, 1981) than it was from the year it takes place in (1936). We have reached the Indiana Jones event horizon.

OH HEY THAT’S ME catch me on the newest episode of The Patrick Scott Patterson Project that just dropped! I talked to old my pro wrestling nemesis about my trip from our glory days in the ring to surviving the perils of being a writer in various industries. Had a great time! Thanks, man!
NEW PODCAST EPISODE DROP: Had a blast talking with novelist & screenwriter Matt Wallace this week. We're actually old friends & wrestling rivals, so we swap some old stories from those days before getting into Matt's journey!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I was at the ER the night before Thanksgiving/early hours of Thanksgiving last year with a family member, and we overheard two doctors call that block of time "The Night of the Mandolines" due to the sheer number of sharps injuries during meal prep.

If writing is so easy why do people argue that they can’t do it without the pablumatic verbiage extruder

And if it’s so difficult then why do people think it’s not labour and writers are not workers

Those that got nothing done, I see you too.
Hey, props to writers who got literally anything done this year.

I saw Premee kill a guy once using a tiny black hole true story
No! No, no, no! Certainly not, ha ha. LAUGHABLE thought. No, I wouldn't worry about it one bit. CERTAINLY not something that would keep me up at night fretting. Or indeed, scheming as to how I could make it hit a nemesis instead. Nope!

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

I can’t make a living writing any type of media but the people who can’t afford to pay me to write the media can still make billions a year selling the media they can’t afford to pay me to write.

This is called “chain refoulment” and it’s illegal under both U.S. and international law. And the State Department and ICE know very well what Ghana is doing and simply don’t care.
ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

We don’t want to value or reward creativity and yet our hunger for the products of creative minds is at such an all time high we steal their work and outsource creativity to LLMs that are trained by stealing the work of creative minds

Folks seem to be misconstruing my point about book pirates being shitty people. I know me railing about piracy won’t change anything. I know you’ll keep doing it. It’s just important to me you know me and every other author who does the thing you want and can’t do thinks you’re a shitty human being.

I wanted a donut so I purchased a small plastic sleeve of tiny donuts and I was like I’ll eat a few of these donuts and save the rest of the donuts for later but somehow I ate all of the donuts so now I have no more donuts and that’s why if you’re poor under capitalism it’s all your fault you see.

Bigger than this, I think people should be more skeptical of online leftism that says, "Actually, under capitalism I don't owe other people anything." Oh, your communal philosophy says you can be interpersonally vicious and steal from other people? How convenient!
Always worth taking a moment to remind you if you’re pirating authors’ book you’re a shitty person. You can rail that our profession isn’t a profession all you want. You can paint yourself as an online revolutionary liberating ideas. It’s all bullshit.

You’re just a shitty person who hates writers.

At the very least use the public library if you have one. We've got ebooks, eaudiobooks, WONDERbooks for kids (combination of print + audiobook)... We'll pay to support your favorite authors, and you get to read for "Free". Everyone wins!
