I hate that my primary use for Copilot 365 is because “show me all emails from [email protected]” is too complex for Outlook’s built-in search.
"We're going to create superintelligence" How about making outlook search work first. How about that

Another reminder. Anne Frank and her sister Margot didn't die in gas chambers. They died of Typhus due to overcrowding at Bergen-Belsen women's camp, which also experienced outbreaks of tuberculosis and typhoid fever.
A reminder this happened earlier this week at Trump’s massive concentration camp in El Paso:

“The cases of tuberculosis and COVID-19, two diseases that spread through the air, have underscored concern about the conditions at Camp East Montana and other immigration detention centers.“

In a nutshell, the Dem lodestar should be: "ICE is bad, and immigration is good"
My theory of the moment: The extraordinary courage of ordinary people in places like Minneapolis is reawakening us to our social and economic ties to immigrants. It's making "love thy neighbor" cool again. That's the ultimate antidote to MAGA hate.

Thoughts on this:

People don’t imagine how terrible it would be if there was an *actual* Fairness Doctrine right now. Imagine Jimmy Kimmel inviting a democratic candidate on his show. And then being required to have an equivalent right wing candidate to keep it even. It would be a disaster.

This is so fucked up, but we have the nations 4th largest police department?
Criminality is so rampant inside CBP that it has seen one of its own agents or officers arrested every 24 to 36 hours since 2005.

I feel this way about pretty much all vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. You shouldn't be allowed to dump cyanide into municipal drinking water and you shouldn't be allowed to recreationally spread viruses around shared public spaces.
My most authoritarian opinion is that the MMR vaccine should be mandatory, with only medical (not religious or floofy) exemptions allowed. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

In terms of what cures are being lost:

- Epstein-Barr virus is perhaps the major trigger for multiple sclerosis
- herpes simplex virus causes cold sores, genital herpes, infections in babies, deadly meningitis
- shingles virus causes an intensely painful disease

I know this sounds simplistic, but it is a very good thing that the Trump administration is now squarely on the defensive - about ICE, but also about most things - and it’s great that Dems are sustaining the pressure. Credit where it’s due.
SLOTKIN: So the fact we have ICE agents saying out loud to people they're trying to arrest that 'we're gonna put you in a database,' they are making that up?

LYONS: We do not do that

No one believes it. I guess one small benefit coming out of this is that even normies in MSP know the media is carrying water and doing PR for the Gestapo. Regular taxpayers who used to just go about their lives now know the press is suppressing what's happening on the ground and amplifying lies

There is no recovery for DHS. The entire department needs to be dismantled, and its essential functions transferred to other departments.
So the FAA abruptly halted all air traffic at an airport, serving a metro area of ~1 million people. They’re blaming it on a “cartel drone,” but reports suggest that…

-The drone may have been a party balloon,

-It may have been CBP, not the military, that fired at the drone/balloon.

Is that right?

Easy, money. You do it with money. Schools that get funds for free meals have to work with something like $1.25 per meal which includes the cost of equipment. If you want better meals at schools, give the schools enough money to hire the staff and buy the ingredients and equipment.
Rollins: "School lunches are next. A lot of schools don't even have an oven anymore. When I was growing up, lunch ladies were back there cooking meals on stoves. So how do we completely and fundamentally change the system to go back to where we're serving healthy whole foods to these kiddos?"

Notice how the popular media narrative has moved on, while people on the ground in Minneapolis are still struggling and crying out that things are as bad as ever. This is how fascist regimes operate — overreach, recalibration, normalization. Get louder, not quieter.

Sometimes very hard not to feel like the rest of the country has abandoned Minnesota. We STILL have ICE everywhere. Our schools, businesses, and economy are in profound crisis. But without Bovino here throwing tear gas, much of the country seems to not care at all what’s being done to us.

But its development is being hindered because HHS is led by a eugenicist roadkill enthusiast and an assortment of cranks and quacks who think their own self-serving contrarianism trumps established health science.

NEW: The F.D.A. refused to accept an application from Moderna for its mRNA flu vaccine.

Its reason: The agency did not think Moderna compared the new vaccine to one of the best flu shots available. The company spent $750M+ on a 41,000 person study.
