I can't tell you how disorienting it is to see a more recent player on a 1982 Topps card. That was the first year I collected cards. I had some 1981s, but 82 was the first year I bought cards myself.
As another year winds down, what's your favorite or best card you bought this year? I commissioned this DW from @gummyarts.bsky.social when the Mets retired his #5.

More than 1 out of 8 people in the US would move to Baltimore if money were no object! Maybe I'm biased b/c I live in the Maryland-DC suburbs, but Baltimore housing is not expensive IMO. You can buy a 4 BR 2.5 BA remodeled rowhouse in upper Fells Point (expensive neighborhood) for under $450k.
