Things I am really, really good at: 1) drinking wine, and 2) holding a grudge for all eternity.
Things I am really, really good at: 1) sleeping 2) not taking things personally. What about you?
But is he up to date on changes in the Tax Code???
I've fallen behind on #Orbachtober because I've been working on my taxes (LA residents got an automatic extension to October 15th because of the fires), so here is a sketch of Jerry Orbach doing my taxes.
I haven't been back since we moved. Mind if I join you for most of those? I get enough snow and cold here, though. (Red Wings merch is online, if that's a maybe.)
Thinking of things I’d like to do next time I go home:

Spend time at the lake
See a film at The Little
Go to multiple bookstore coffee shops
Get some local clothing/decorations to bring back to LA that remind me of home
See snow for only ONE day
Spend only ONE day in below freezing temperatures
Oh, wow! I almost didn't recognize him...
Oh, me too! I want to grab people and announce I saw Stephen Colbert or John Krasinski being bad guys on Law & Order.
Old cameos are one of the best parts of Criminal Minds.

I was watching S5E23 and I'm like "Is that Tim Curry?" And lo and behold. It is.

Made me smile as much as seeing Frankie Muniz in an earlier season. Lol.
Here, use my brain sponge. You can squeeze it out over a bucket and get most of that grey matter back.
There are three agents at the same agency who all might be a good fit for one of my stories, but now I have to decide which agent to query and my brain is opting to simply melt instead.
Jason Momoa called me "dearest" at Pinterest. Sure he did...
I have a teenager who engages in necrophilia.
What’s the weirdest character you’ve ever created? In one of my stories, I have a kid who turns into a monster. He likes to eat the bad guys #writingq #WritingCommunity
I hope, in light of the cost per item, those freakin' Harry Potter pins find themselves in the trash.
I have to research about 60 hard-enamel pins, found on two pin banners a few days ago ($6.49 at Goodwill).

A mix of Harry Potter (getting re-donated ASAP), Stranger Things, The Simpsons, Stephen Universe, Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, etc.

Someone's trove.
This reinforces my wonder that anyone can finish a decent novel as a pantser rather than a planner. How do they *not* mess up timelines? I am boggled at their ability.
Crisis averted, I think. Unless my fix is going to ripple out and cause new problems I'll encounter further in.
Are we having fun yet?!
#AmEditing
I just found one of those timeline fuckups in the order of my plot that means I have to hit the breaks and rethink everything and I'm not sure how much work it is to fix it, or if I even can without massive changes and FML. #AmEditing
That's scary!
The problem with SF is that you'll write a story for fun, and then 8 years later, it's suddenly like, "oh, wait, that's applicable to today."
I fully understand, but for me, it means being careful I'm not tinkering, saying it's not done in order to avoid rejections when I submit it.
Do you ever feel like your story is truly finished? I just don’t. That doesn’t mean I work on it forever, but… #writingq #WritingCommunity
And how did this word come to exist? You don't see horses engaging in horseplay.
I’m doing a module about workplace violence for the bookstore and there is a lot of talk about HORSEPLAY. I haven’t seen this term since I was a kid, one of the posted rules at the swimming pool was NO HORSEPLAY. HORSEPLAY doesn’t even feel like a real word anymore. HORSEPLAY🐴
How is it that their program can never actually address the issue, whatever it may be?
Automated customer service is the devil
I believe the word I'm looking for is "Eeeeeek!"
So Kevin and Stepson have cooed over the snake and everybody went away happy, or in the case of the snake, glad the weird tall things left.
It seems the "good printer" name is mis-applied...
Great day for thrifting, for a change. A wall clock with gears that show. Four yards of what I think is silk, still to be burn-tested. A solid oak rocker in great shape. Total cost: $30.
I’m shopping at the wrong thrift stores!
Unlikely within my lifetime. Sigh...
My family, husband included, all refer to Keanu Reeves as my boyfriend, I've liked him so long. When I read he was appearing on Broadway with Alex Winter in "Waiting for Godot," the amazing Mr. Maryn offered to take me to NYC if we could get tickets.
I have a series in which a person is a life coach who also reshapes clients' bodies, feeding them healthy. I considered an appendix of recipes but decided against it.
I have a thumb brace that's so much better than the first three I tried. Let me know if you need a recommendation. (My thumb's okay now!)
