I'm never going to be on anyone's starter pack, but I'm following so many of them I may as well give a little more info than can fit in my bio.

I work outside of academia as my 9-5 job and continue to work ponderously towards a previously abandoned undergrad degree in History at UC Berkeley, 1/3

This is a famously messy Norwegian biathlete who was banned in 2023 from the Biathlon World Cup because he accidentally fired his competition rifle in his hotel room (he was also teary and apologetic then)
new most bizarre moment of the Olympics just dropped

Norwegian biathlete wins bronze medal, then, totally unprompted, reveal he cheated on his GF, she left him, and he wants to apologize publicly hoping she takes him back

the primary reason rightwingers will never control culture is because everything they do is hinged upon it being a reaction to the broader culture. the TPUSA half time event would not exist without it being a representation of their grievences

There are some pretty well known people here with large followings that have watched this play out for 10+ years and still think the elections can't be corrupted and think you are too naive, stupid, or paranoid to understand otherwise.

"They did and those who can, refuse to stop them."

Our inability to conceive of a scenario where one party just doesn't follow the rules because no one will stop them has lead us to this moment and I'm not sure continuing to keep those blinders on is productive.
one thing that has always confused me about these hypos where the House refuses to recognize Dem winners—the House isn't a continuing body, and it wouldn't be the current House that would be seating anyone. it's the incoming House. www.vox.com/politics/478...

It's staggering how this political eunuch has not just done nothing at all as Speaker of the House, but has actually worked to prevent his colleagues from doing anything at all as well.

For all the right's fetishization of "originalism," this is a development that would've made the founders weep
Speaker Mike Johnson said Monday he is moving forward with a plan to revive a prohibition on House votes to overturn President Donald Trump’s global tariffs.
