It was actually a “pre” budget address. To prime/ prepare us for what is coming in two weeks. Which I think is a good communication strategy. I am assuming the sports reference dates are because he feels they are economic events for Canada, and we are priming our economic engine or something.

I don’t really drink alcohol, but since the USA. Businesses were already paid , throwing them out only loses money for a Canadian company . The joke was on Ontario taxpayers when Ford dumped that bottle at presser. Selling less alcohol gets my vote though.
There is also safety in numbers when it comes to biking as Peeps in cars more likely to give them their deserved space.
I still have trouble with what a throw away society we are where we build things and then tear them down and junk most of the pieces. So much civic infrastructure is not maintained too. Eg. harbour view .

I think heat would cause one to melt. The rain would lead to us dissolving. Which we don’t of course. But if you add some soap beforehand you can get a wash of body and clothes at same time. Just hang to dry when you get home.

A family member who is now a med Dr working in USA, says that even if they have to pay at a Canadian hospital, the cost is cheaper then their insurance premiums in USA
Our schools really need to do a better job of teaching people what taxes pay for and who pays taxes. And also how insurance coverage works.
And it adds lots of colour to the lights as well. I am going to hang a brown jacket outside my house instead of Christmas lights.
