Unfortunately, Labour isn't going to introduce any break-through policies to bridge the inequity gap in AoNZ or to enhance the lives of our most vulnerable, especially Māori & Pasifika whanau.

The Green Budget is talking to my belief system; tax the wealthiest and look after the poorest. #nzpol
NZ #GreenBudget Highlights:
Free GP and free dental care ✅
Free early childhood education (35hr/w) ✅
Income guarantee ($395/w baseline) ✅
(And more!)

Wealth tax ✅
Private-jet tax ✅ #nzpol #Greens

Being so close to home, this impact of ACT / Atlas🤡heartless policy hurts. Gone are iwi kaimahi who put passion and aroha into healthy meals for vulnerable kids at 8 schools in Te Tauihu.

In 1975, Bill Rowling's Labour Govt introduced a compulsory contributory scheme that would have made AoNZ the 'Switzerland of the South Pacific'.

Naturally the right-wing National Party under Muldoon wrecked it and with it our chance for individual prosperity in retirement. National are vandals.

Changes made today will still take decades to make up for the shortfall of a decision made in 1975. Damien Venuto looks into how a fiery politician changed the course of New Zealand’s history.

That myth that "Nats are better economic managers" is perpetuated by pakeha business owners and farmers who always get a handout from the Nats. The truth is that the Nats are economic vandals now being cheered on by ACT / Atlas and Shane Jones cronies. #nzpol
Can we finally kill the "National are Better Economic Managers™️" myth now.

It's always been bullshit, and this current incarnation has really highlighted this. And two years in, voters need to stop buying their "It's Labours mess" lies. #nzpol

Thank you, Dame Jacinda, Grant Robertson & Dr Ashley Bloomfield for prioritising people and health before profit.
I can only imagine the carnage if the right wing had been in power.
Worldwide mortality experience since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2024) shows excess deaths over that period in almost every country measured. Australia (+6%) was below average, and New Zealand (+0.1%) the lowest we measured.

Rather than invest in People, this Coalition of right-wingers would rather invest in Incarceration.

I agree with Te Pati Māori on this. “Our plan is simple: to invest early so fewer people ever enter the justice system. That is how we build a stronger future for Hawke’s Bay and Aotearoa.” #nzpol
