Yup, it's a fine line between victim blaming and teasing out social inequity, racism, the importance of voting, systems which are designed to create "tyranny of the majority" ...

I don't know how to fix any of it. But I've seen friends and family go down the- voting is a waste of time- rabbithole.

2) not vote

Impoverished Māori, in fact impoverished people full stop are less likely to vote because they're being trained not to. They're being told it makes no difference to them.

It's a lie that steals people's agency & destroys lives.

Yup, but Duncan is a Labour MP and we need both him and Labour to be working to protect our people and our democracy.

Also, politically, there are people I can convince to vote Labour that won't vote TPM or Green - and real plans to stop corruption would be a big help.

Yup, that's exactly why Labour must to more than simply repeal the bill.
They have to tighten our anti-corruption laws and ensure the courts deal with them FAST. We cannot afford to have our governments captured by "global interests" like oil and tobacco.

Labour MUST put an end to the corruption that appears to have fuelled this and other bills.
Corruption laws must have real consequences and be policed by independent bodies. We cannot afford to have governments in the pockets of tobacco & other lobbyists.

Yup, also modern algorithms reward speed.
If an author can pump out a book every few months it really helps especially on platforms like A'zon.
I think it's tragic but I'm biased given I'm a slow writer (not romance tho)
