this is, genuinely, one of the finest remake/remasters around. there's a lil sound test where you can listen to songs and read commentary from the musicians about what inspired the song, what they did that day, etc etc. very thorough, beautiful work, which carried through into FF Tactics last year

this is, genuinely, one of the finest remake/remasters around. there's a lil sound test where you can listen to songs and read commentary from the musicians about what inspired the song, what they did that day, etc etc. very thorough, beautiful work, which carried through into FF Tactics last year

We could talk about whether we got the "good cyberpunk" but what's important I think is a good 50 years of film and comics were trying really, really hard to make you think about this exact sort of image, and to internalize that if you saw this sort of image you should have an intense reaction to it

I used to think cyberware would be the coolest thing in the universe until I owned a smartphone.
we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)
