There’s going to be a lot of people across the political spectrum who won’t be able to process Dems on a winning streak. Dems as literal and figurative losers is baked into a whole lot of narratives.
This adds to the Democratic flip in the Miami mayoral election.

Those were two of my major elections to watch tonight — you can keep up here:

Wow: Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention (named for Holocaust survivor Raphael Lemkin, who coined term "genocide") calls Clinton's remarks "genocide denial."

"Young people in the US are not stupid or gullible. They simply reject genocide – something the Secretary might consider doing as well."

If every Muslim voter in Dearborn voted for Harris, she still would have lost Michigan.

If she had won Michigan, she STILL WOULD HAVE LOST THE ELECTION.

If you want to blame voters for current conditions, feel free to blame the actual demographic responsible for Trump and that is WHITE PEOPLE.

Elon Musk is worse at hiding it but this is the problem with all billionaires: they are a threat to democratic governance. They have an insatiable need to own and control everything. If you want to be free you have to curb their power, and demand political leaders who understand that

The world's wealthy liberal democracies looked the other way on FIFA's corruption for years because they didn't think corruption in sports was a big deal or worth addressing, and now find themselves looking at FIFA as a powerful, increasingly-integrated part of the far-right anti-democracy movement.

Jesus Christ, these people are both unbelievably petty and obsessed.

Yet somehow they convince gullible voters that it's *Democrats* who are fixated on this issue.

Democrats aren't the ones staying up at night because a stranger changed her name. Jesus.

The psychology behind this instinct fascinates me, partly bc it is so widespread, but also? Because I feel it too, and I struggle to understand why.

To be clear, I'd never include Buckley in any sort of small-l liberal tent. But the broad asymmetry here resonates, even as I resist (and resent) it.

More of this from US Senators please.

and Fuck ICE
My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

This would make a great comedy. World Cup matches are moved from New York and Los Angeles to small-town Texas and the foreign visitors and MAGA locals have all sorts of awkward interactions as they learn to enjoy the games amid madcap hijinks.
Monica Crowley claims Trump is "talking to FIFA" about potentially moving the World Cup out of "blue cities," but no decisions have been made

The fact that four hostile drones tried to hit Zelenskyy’s plane & it’s barely a blip in the news cycle should terrify everyone. We’ve been dragged so deep into the chaos era that an attempted strike on a world leader doesn’t even break through. When this becomes normal, the world is in real danger.

“What’s your plan for the Court?” is the only question that matters for 2028 Democratic hopefuls, because if they don’t, the Republican Super Legislature is hatcheting their agenda before it can get off the ground.
