someone tell the California ACLU who is disproportionately more likely to be killed in traffic accidents including those involving people under the influence
The California ACLU is staunchly opposed to the ignition interlock device program and is a big reason that it has not been expanded. Despite the fact that California heavily subsidizes the cost for low-income drunk drivers, the ACLU says that the program is a form of "racialized wealth extraction."

This new Politico poll should stop us all in our tracks!

50% of Americans are struggling to afford groceries, let’s start there. Then add the fact that we have a president who thinks we’re lying about it.

I’m just waiting for the next poll that asks, “Does the president care about people like me?”

Immigrants ‘plucked out of line’ at citizenship ceremony at Faneuil Hall “the cradle of liberty”.

If you ever claimed you want immigrants to do it the right way, this should outrage you. On the other hand, If you think this was okay, you need to come to terms with your white nationalist views.

This is profoundly bad for transgender people in the United States. The whole premise of Hegseth’s order is that trans people are liars and cannot be trusted. If that kind of justification withstands legal scrutiny then all bets are off for what goes in future attacks on trans people. F’ing awful.
A D.C. Circuit panel sides with Hegseth on transgender military ban, saying Judge Reyes' attempt to block it didn't accord the seretary enough deference.

It’s December and will be warmer overnight in London than in Los Angeles. Granted we are also hitting the low-80s in LA, day after day.
Warm air in association with #StormBran tomorrow might destroy highest max records for Dec 9th by 3C in east. Might see a 16-17C. Remarkable and doubly so given the ☁️ conditions.

I mean, if only there was a way to know the truth of this. Like a report that comes out the first Friday of each month. Oh… right… Trump killed that report. Unless y’all saw a report on Friday December 5 with November’s jobs numbers.
Kudlow is just lying to his viewers: "Unemployment is at rock bottom. These are real facts. I'm not making this stuff up. Unemployment claims are as low as they're ever going to get."

Simply amazing that the Supreme Court declared an end to legal race discrimination in the affirmative action case two years ago and now allows overt racism in both immigration arrests and redistricting.

Using race to help minorities? Bad. Using it to discriminate against them? Very, very good.

OMG Sean is that dork who kept insisting his parent's wood-paneled station wagon was cool years after it most definitely was not.

How do I know? Cuz I was that dork, and my parents were those parents. But, um... none of *us* are pining to return to the days of toxic air and wood-clad cars.
Sean Duffy on slashing fuel economy standards: "This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon. Maybe a little wood paneling on the side. We can bring back choice to consumers."

Worth noting that there were lots of people complaining then about how leaded paint was better and necessary for fill in the blank reason. Nearly every victory worth getting has come only after a fight.
it is MIRACULOUS that we got rid of lead paint and asbestos when we did. if we had tried that today, there would be people whining about how we're restricting their rights.
Bring back residential-use lead paint, you cowards.

Heard an industry spokesman this morning on NPR talking about the future economy of the moon and how a lunar economy is almost here.

Can we just try to get a better local economy? Like stop randomly arresting people trying to harvest crops or wash cars, and make it better to be here, on earth?
