I just want to skip to all the scenes with Robert Bloch.
I read the novel earlier this year and loved it.
For some context, I’m a huge Burroughs fan and his lectures on the paranormal and occult are fascinating, so seeing this is just so damn cool.
William S. Burroughs’ paranormal lectures just got a shout-out by George freaking Stark, I AM LOSING MY MIND HERE
What writer’s block does to a man.
The Dark Half or, The brief but shocking life and adventures of a high-toned son of a bitch 🤣

Burton Agnes Hall, Yorkshire. Begun in 1601, after a design by the great (and first!) English architect Robert Smythson. Today is his day.
OMG this sounds amazing! I'll try to join in tonight!

Join #FrightClub and post along Wednesday's feature, The Vault of Horror (1973), at 10:00 PM ET. Public domain film, available on YouTube.

You opened the wrong door. 🚪
Poster for The Vault of Horror (1973)
No "The" in the poster title, apart from a lead-in line, so we'll see what the title card says in the actual movie
Anyway it's a tomb with a giant crazy face trying to escape it, and assorted other characters, of reasonable proportions, scattered around area gravestones
We hope we're right about this being public domain; we looked really hard and couldn't find an active copyright

Federal agents aren’t trying to keep the peace. They want violence to escalate so that Trump can declare martial law.

They shot a reverend in the head with pepper balls while he was praying in front of an ICE facility. If that doesn’t tell you where we are as a country, nothing will.

George Stark is the first Stephen King villain that I’ve had an “oh no, he’s hot” reaction to.

I will do all I can to support and protect federal workers and contractors.

To those workers, I say again: you deserve so much better.

I know this is yet another dark moment in a dark year, but please do not lose hope.

The country still sees and values your service, and your work is not in vain.
Harlan Ellison was a huge fan of the original Fritz Leiber story this is based on and wrote a spiritual sequel to it.
"You're the eyes that pick our pockets. You're the lure, the bait... we lust for you, and for what those eyes hold out."

Night Gallery's "The Girl with the Hungry Eyes" (Season 3, Episode 2) stars Joanna Pettet, James Farentino and John Astin.

October 9, 1959: Twilight Zone's "One for the Angels" airs. A kind-hearted sidewalk pitchman (Ed Wynn) battles Mr. Death (Murray Hamilton, 16 years before he was Amity's mayor in "Jaws") to save a little girl's life.

A sweet tale with a nice touch of humor. 🥲

They should give the Nobel to JD Vance, just to watch trump's head shrivel and diaper hindenberg explode at the same time in shock and rage.

It'd be fun watching the next 3 years of Republicans twisting themselves in knots trying to condemn and suck up to both. Whole 2025 agenda would screech halt

There was literally a big-budget movie last year about how during his one brief period of trying to be cool, Dylan got so anxious about it that he had to get advice from the coolest man alive (Johnny Cash)
