Like, I'll finish a task, but I didn't do it fast enough so I failed anyway and should throw the thing I created away.

I still think about the time a senior said: "I can do this in 20 minutes." to me as a junior.
After I made something despite being in full panic mode, burned out, because I was never good enough.

Now I still freak out often because I didn't create something fast enough.

Inattentive ADHD sucks.

I recently discovered I have 'avoidant perfectionism'. My brain tells me I shouldn't bother creating things because it will be bad anyway. I'm fighting this 24/7 because I do want to make stuff. (Like a game!)

as a girl with a PhD in natural language processing and machine learning it's actually offensive to me when you say "we don't know how LLMs work so they might be conscious"

I didn't spend 10 years in mines of academia to be told ignorance is morally equal knowledge.

We know exactly how LLMs work.

also it’s disappointing that women’s games continue to not be taken seriously and women are continually viewed as an irrelevant/secondary demographic unless they play “boy” games. did you know love and deepspace made $800 million in one year? but how many journos/devs can name even one of the boys?
