International Day of Persons with Disabilities is today. Ontario should celebrate it by giving people on ODSP enough money to thrive, rather than barely survive.

The buses are made in Winnipeg too.
New Flyer just upgraded their factory there, I think the Feds may have helped.
BTW they are hiring a lot of people in Canada.
I'll add the link below.

Did anyone else read something about Trump saying he will attack any Country that sends drugs to USA? I had so many tabs open and I lost it. Anyway, I'm a little concerned if true.

I noticed Alex's post on an other site of a news article about Fern in 1940's. One story said she looks "more like a model of size 12 dresses." I guess it was hard to acknowledge a woman being a war hero then. Hope you give Alex's article a read.
In my latest Legion Magazine article, I interview sculptor Tyler Fauvelle about his newly twinned tribute to WW II trailblazer Fern Blodgett Sunde, now unveiled in the Norwegian town of Farsund.

Sunde was Canada's first female deep sea radio operator.

Big news for Northern Ontario and Canada.
The project is estimated to produce 880 kilotons of copper over 21 years.
That is about $9 to $10 billion worth at today's prices.
It will also produce nickel, cobalt, gold, platinum group metals and other critical minerals.

We often treat measles immunity as a solved problem: "Childhood vaccination = lifelong protection"

Might be a lazy assumption.

A new Lancet study shows a slow, steady decline in measles antibody levels over the years.

Does our “once in childhood is enough” thinking still fit the evidence?
