Beat em ups (largely) have sidestepped this, because most people still making them do get it but try to spin the genre in ways that will make people pay attention.

I hate when people co-opt communist lingo in their anti piracy speech.
Yes, artists are working class and deserve pay. But, at the same time, access to culture and education is a human right. Capitalism fails both of these things and it's not the fault of poor people in the global south torrenting.
