I live in a 3rd world country. My local library is a single 15mx20m room on the ground floor of a mall. There's a shelf of Mills & Boon books from the 80's and 90's, half the Captain Underpants series, specifically volume 3 of Rave Master, and a shelf of direcct-to-dvd animated christmas movies.

The equal opposite I kept seeing, "artists are effectively kulaks who deserve no consideration since theyre not proles & thus class enemies or even class traitors", is the same flavor of bullshit & it all makes me so mad. I hate when people co-opt communist lingo in their anti piracy speech.
Yes, artists are working class and deserve pay. But, at the same time, access to culture and education is a human right. Capitalism fails both of these things and it's not the fault of poor people in the global south torrenting.

I've been getting very close to 1500MR in Street Fighter 6, which is terrible because now I'm starting to fight people who actually know how to play the game.
