I just realized I am fucking worse at everything I try and can’t continue anything more than a month straight so by the time I get used to things I already gave up and when I try again I suck at it again and again

Drawing 'Ramona', an original robot character created by artist Warpsol.

Ramona is a complex, mechanical robot with a single eye and thin legs. She is often depicted in a relaxed manner, with the artist noting, 'She drinks tea. She sits. She drinks more tea".

Buy a book.

Any book, it doesn't matter which. The one you've been looking forward to, the one with the title that made you laugh, the weighty award-winner you've been meaning to get to. Whatever.

Treat yourself. Step away from it all. In this time of gross ignorance & madness, read something.

A thing that remains hilarious to me is how completely correct Moore is but careerist creators + fandom whose entire project builds off his vital work profess their 'love' for him ritualistically, while participating in the very white supremacist power fantasy peddlin he warns against/regrets aiding

There's a lot one can eminently critique with Moore, but the one thing he's always been 100% correct about is how these 20th Century Imperial Power Fantasies are horrific expressions of a Settler-Colonial Culture and its delusional, dangerous view of itself.

And nerds get so mad if you say it.

If you're using Steam, there are a bunch of curator lists for that purpose. They're user run and wdon't catch everything but they're a good guide. I personally trust this one 'cause it notes false flags and comes with the occassional very human snark:

Hey, did you know that you don't have to just flip a mesh inside out to make the cell borders... you can actually optimise it and take out all the faces that are not visible or clip. You can also make custom cell meshes to adjust thickness and give a bit of style.

I don't hate public libraries, or even people who pirate my books (would they have bought a copy otherwise? Maybe.) I hate people *selling* bootleg ebook copies of my books. That *does* cost me. Etsy has a chronic problem of enabling these. Why would they solve the problem when they profit from it?
Always worth taking a moment to remind you if you’re pirating authors’ book you’re a shitty person. You can rail that our profession isn’t a profession all you want. You can paint yourself as an online revolutionary liberating ideas. It’s all bullshit.

You’re just a shitty person who hates writers.
