Finally getting some theological clarity on the ethics of reclining in one’s plane seat

I swear can Quebec and Alberta just chill on the violation of rights business for like 10 minutes?? They seem to be trying to speedrun the charter at this rate.

Framing it this way isn't helpful. This is something being *done to* rural people. The dynamics described are crafted by centralized govts + corps with urbanized extractive bias - not rural communities. Punching down on rural places both misses the real problem and harms progressive agendas...

My hottest take is that the CBC should have a game publishing branch. If you want to promote Canadian art and culture, our gaming industry is massive, and there are a lot of great game devs who've been laid off who would probably be happy to find employment. That or at minimum highlight the great

The newest Pokemon game has a group called the “Society of Battle Connoisseurs“ in it. And they abbreviate it as “SBC” so I can only ever read trainers from that group as “Dylan of the Southern Baptist Convention sent out Arbok!”

The jays having one good inning and then spending three hours holding everyone hostage while they waste any and all goodwill is the energy Toronto brings to this nation, I just want Americans to know this

I'm still on a world series doomscroll following that loss. So I read this as a Blue Jays post. Accurate either way.
It is not a good thing that the past 20 years have been an unrelenting "fuck you" to people who believe in the goodness of humanity and following the rules.
you cannot keep doing this without eventually becoming misanthropic and feeling that the values you grew up with are meaningless and the people around you will excuse anything as long as it doesn’t personally inconvenience them

I swear Toronto, pull off a miracle this once. I beg of you. I'll forgive all of your Leafs games if you can do this one thing.

Man the disenchanted worldview of modern folk has rendered all the coolest discoveries about the nature of our reality completely null. Like what would the ancient philosophers do with the information that time is an illusion, or that there are rocks that cause humans to rot alive that also

So, could an American explain to this poor Canadian what SNAP is? I gather from context its like food-assistance? This seems pretty bad, but I'm not sure I understand quite how bad.

My teenage brother in law explained casually to me that I probably liked battlefield more than COD because I grew up with “slow paced shooters.” And that it was more comfortable for me because I wasn’t used to fast paced gameplay. Chat I aged a century in that moment. Time became an endless expanse.

How sure are we all that provincial $ clawed back from private schools would be lavished on public ones?

I’m not 100% sure that’s how this would go. But I appreciate your faith in the good faith of the government.

I am truly baffled how little of the vast wealth of content that CBC makes is actually on the main CBC news app. I know there are more articles than this, and I know they’re on the website. So why are they so hard to find or non existant on the main app?
