I will add, I never felt unsafe for the most part as I moved here from Chicago, not some sleepy suburb that many of my new neighbors seem to have come here from (and some think it is scary here when it is so far from scary, many are not used to seeing non-white and poor people is all.)

LOL I had my car stolen TWICE and once use to rob a bank down in Palo Alto in the 90's. (I have not owned a car since but because I cannot afford one and do not need one here)
But working on media and tech was so fun in those days. And the city was more affordable for all.

I would bet big $ this same person would vote against any residential facility that could house and help people get off the street if it was in town. People like this want to toss homeless in prison or make them disappear another way. They just want them to disappear.

The 90's were a blast here in the city, and people could afford to move here back then, but crime was definitely worse then too. These billionaires are scared of their own shadows.

Only a Republican would go out of his way to honor a guy who landed in Haiti where the Indigenous peoples were forced into slavery and punished with the loss of a limb or executed if they didn’t collect enough gold for him. He was arrested by the Spanish who sent him!
