Yay for me!

I managed to empty out another one of the carts of children/juvenile/young adult books. That's like 400 books. Which makes like 700 books since we closed to the public. I am finally getting caught up on my massive backlog from when my coworker was out for a year.

Is Ned’s desperation so repulsive? Even so, the rasp of Izzy’s voice is like nothing Ned has heard at sea or in all the grand conservatories of the world. Just an old song? Ned swallows the lump in his throat, thorny as pride. “But only you—” He pauses, daring to lay his palms on the warm leather of Izzy’s splayed thighs. “Only you imbue it with life.”

“Your fucking way with words…” Izzy is quick to knock Ned down a peg, but he can’t quite smother his smile. “I’ll sing it again. But you - you stay there and shut your big yap. Do we have a deal?”

Ned’s ‘big yap’, as Izzy so daintily calls it, is dry with want. “Your terms,” he whispers, with a hint of anticipatory vibrato, “are most generous.”

Sometimes I remember worrying that I was embarrassing when I started sharing my fanart. I fell so hard & so fast for our pirates. Then a pro comic artist I really look up to just out of the blue told me my OFMD stuff was "beautiful work". It was like he knew I needed to hear it right at that moment.

Currently very pissed off as I went to use the hand vacuum only to discover the entire thing was totally clogged with chunks of chalk from some program we had a few weeks ago. No one ever cleaned it out afterwards. I think I got about 3 inches of chalk out. I had to clean the filters & the vacuum.

On the 14th day of Halloween, I watched Aquarium of the Dead (2021).

Yeah, this is a horrible movie. The CGI is terrible, the acting is not great, and it just isn’t a good film (it was still more enjoyable than The Monkey).

Skip this one.
