I would say Wake Up Dead Man is definitely in my top three Knives Out films. Very good.

Late night reading. I picked this up today after realising I had given away my copy a while ago. It was actually my mum’s copy - sorry Mum. Love this cover artwork by David Hardy. There’s something very Christmassy about Wells to me, probably because the late Victorians are so nostalgic.

One of the best parts in a story with lots of best parts. The chalk outline of the assassinated Time Lord President. Hilarious stuff.

November’s flash fiction. Or if you prefer, it’s a very short story. Or maybe it’s a vignette! Any which way, it’s a quick read. Set in Edinburgh, with a mention of my favourite pub, The Jolly Judge. kieranstorieswriter.wordpress.com/2025/11/23/o...

'but Claire gathered that his monologue had evolved into being about things he liked. She knew his type.' A wonderful drollery in this vignette of a story by @kieranstories.bsky.social. A tiny slice of life that suggests so much more.
I’m trying to share a new story each month. This story was inspired by two pieces of art: Break Down by Michael Landy and Las Meninas by Velázquez. It’s very short if you want to take a look! Relaxing Sunday all. kieranstorieswriter.wordpress.com/2025/11/23/o...

Happy birthday Doctor Who. The Mask of the Mandragora tonight. Tom Baker and Elisabeth Sladen at their best. Fair play to the Doctor for walking around San Martino in his scarf - must’ve been roasting. These Blu-ray sets are on sale pretty much everywhere at the moment - worth picking up imo.

Sucker for books about fictional bands. This is more about what it meant to be in a band, looking back thirty years. I liked how Pete Moran moved through the book like a ghost. His presence was felt whenever he was ‘on page’. Mark E Moon was standout. @northernmailman.bsky.social

I’ve been staying up late to watch Doctor Who recently. Finished Ghost Light tonight, which I’d never seen before, and now I’ve started Part 1 of the below. Points for anyone who knows the story.

I can reveal London’s giant AI generated Christmas artwork, the subject of much online mockery, is being torn down - and I honestly *genuinely* think you’ll never guess why. www.londoncentric.media/p/ai-artwork...
