Anti-police brutality protest, March 15, Montreal, QC, 2015.
My photo, originally published on vice news (Internet)
Ooof, I had a winter like that not long ago. I started wearing n95 masks on every metro ride (it helped, but I'm pretty sure it was really pneumonia that I was dragging around for ages)
Oh boo!! That's shit man
Hope you bounce back real quick!
When people gather to oppose a broken system they're more open to new ideas and imagining better systems.

It's a growth opportunity and moment for change, big change.

You think you disagree until you've listened to *them* speak, and not what others have to say about why they're ignorable.

The New York Times is basically the National Post.
This is quite a hed/subhed.
1) Start with Vance. Use strong action verb. Accept the autocratic premise that the “Marines’ Might” are Vance’s to flex.
2) Mention the protest second and absurdly describe them as in the thousands
3) Treat Trump’s strong man use of the military as a partisan scuffle.
That HAS to be from Reddit. Narwhal and Bacon are from an early Reddit era I definitely remember!
Can we have nice things? I guarantee it'd cost less, feel better, and build more jobs and total economic growth than the corporate-cartel of Loblaws and + whose business management cult insists on manufacturing scarcity.

A king wants total control, a democracy is built by and for us all!
Love this video! I had no idea Mexico already has public grocery stores. And the public distribution is a HUGE fulcrum for change! With real competition—instead of our corporate cartel—non-extortive distribution could raise farmer wages, improve food quality, better public health AND lower prices!
Time and again I hear people insist that any density is good but all buildings are not equal and investment condos are built to raise prices and resist affordable rent/housing. Let's not bail them out with RRSP. Maybe socialise them into public housing if they're so hard up?

It's also showing anyone who's actually interested in Bluesky as a Fediverse that the CEOs have a kill switch which essentially defeats the purpose.

Not really, it was less flavor (and a little off, but I WAS expecting cow) and more tough. Definitely wouldn't buy again 😂
Wait, is horse meat illegal in the USA?
I mean, I didn't know it even existed in Canada until I accidentally bought a pack thinking it was ground beef and I was two bites into my burger 😅

The fundamental principle at work here is that the Democrats' and the fascists' highest priority is stopping the social revolution, they're both fundamentally on the same side until the fascists consume the Democrats

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed
Ditto for occupy in 2011 under Obama. When you see how democrats repress their outside lifelines, their base, their tether, you see they have also been paving the way for fascism.
Pretty incredible own goal by liberal institutions and many Democratic electeds to crush the exact type of protests in 2024 that would’ve been the most effective way to slow or stop ICE incursions into American cities in 2025
Baldur's Gate 3: and silk song are my two top recommendations! I dunno if either are on sale, but they're both on steam

It was the height of irony

At a meeting on Russian disinfo, a former cabinet minister accused a veteran journalist of being a spy

But the papers waved around as proof didn't say what was alleged

And now they appear to be forgeries

I regret to inform you that in addition to the collapse of Reconstruction and the Red Scare we all need to bone up on how Woodrow Wilson cracked down on journalists and dissenters. We've got you covered, with this piece by Adam Hochschild www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
America’s top censor—so far
Woodrow Wilson’s postmaster put papers out of business and jailed journalists. The tools he used still exist.

Successful journalists are employed and paid by corporate media conglomerates that make the most profits during election campaigns. It's all just fluff to air advertisement, and truth is too destabilizing to be profitable.
